Abstract
This report outlines the findings of a 2.5 year project conducted within one culturally diverse Queensland secondary school. The project employed arts-based pedagogies and artist/teacher partnerships and was aimed at determining the effectiveness of these approaches for supporting the learning, pathway perceptions and belonging of the young people who participated. The findings reveal that these approaches contributed to enhanced outcomes for students across six critical connections: connection to self, each other, learning, the school community, the Arts, and the future through the creation of alternate possible selves. The report also considers the impact on teachers, artists and school culture.
