Abstract

As Peter Thomson returns to the UK to commence his post as head of dentistry at the University of Central Lancashire, he reflects on the dental school's mission in the 21st century, and considers how people, strategic priority setting and robust academic support pillars all help to underpin the delivery of modern dental education, research and clinical practice.
