Abstract

Over the past six years more than 1500 students from 100 high schools throughout Australia have competed for design honours in the Australian Secondary Schools Digital Design Challenge, using computers as their only creative design tool. The digital design challenge is a national competition, which builds a rich network of local, state and national links to encourage and reward students and teachers in the specialist area of digital design. The competition aims to create, foster, reward and promote new and original ways of thinking that challenge the conventional; creating an engaging, diverse and productive environment for students.
