Abstract
Brandpie has created the ‘Purpose Matters’ report, in partnership with Griffith University and Future Normal, which evidences the positive correlation between business performance and purpose through analysis of the FTSE 350. Our findings include: — FTSE350 companies with a purpose statement perform statistically higher on return on equity (ROE) and return on assets (ROA). — Succinctness matters: FTSE350 companies with a concise purpose statement of 16 words or less have a statistically higher ROE and ROA percentage, and D/E ratio.
