Abstract
Prefabricated construction presents numerous advantages over traditional on-site building methods, including sustainability, safety, flexibility, and cost-effectiveness. Nevertheless, the progression of prefabricated construction faces limitations due to fragmented information, lack of real-time data, and transparency issues within the supply chain management process. Emerging technologies like blockchain offer decentralized, traceable, and immutable features, positioning it as a viable platform for transparent and trustworthy transactions. The proven effectiveness of blockchain technology in enhancing information sharing and management across various industries underscores its potential to significantly improve the entire project lifecycle within the construction sector.
This research endeavours to integrate blockchain technology into the supply chain management process of prefabricated construction, aiming to rectify issues related to information fragmentation, lack of traceability, real-time constraints, and delayed payments.
