Abstract

According to Zygmunt Bauman, “‘Globalization’ means that we are all dependent on each other” (Bauman, 2001a, p. 4). This recognition, even though it describes a phenomenon that gained momentum in the late 1970s, is greatly connected to conditions of Imperialism, Colonialism, and Postcolonialism that have been dominating humanity for more than two millennia.
