Abstract
A progressively more complex operational environment together with increasing reliability of modern aircraft, has prompted a global review of airline pilot training. In addition to accident and incident reports, analysis of the various sources of flight data, LOSA etc has allowed the identification of risks encountered in actual operations and the ability to tailor training programs to mitigate these real risks. This paper details progress in a project to identify attributes required to operate airliners safely, effectively and efficiently.
