Abstract

Granulomatosis with polyangiitis and microscopic polyangiitis are life-threatening multisystem necrotizing vasculitides that classically present with sinopulmonary and/or renal involvement.1 They are associated with anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies (ANCA) with specificities for myeloperoxidase (MPO)-ANCA or proteinase 3 (PR3) -ANCA. ANCA-associated vasculitis (AAV) follows a relapsing course in up to 50% of patients that causes significant morbidity.2
