Abstract
Building Information Modelling (BIM), as an intelligent 3D model-based process to inform and communicate project decisions, has received much attention in the design and construction stage of construction projects. In order to promote BIM and other digital engineering technologies for more effective use in informed asset management decisions, the Sustainable Built Environment National Research Centre (SBEnrc) Project 2.51 focused on a comprehensive review of digital asset management practices, including asset data exchange, asset classification, asset location referencing and asset information requirements.
