Abstract
The serration flow behavior for Cu47Zr47Al6 and (Cu47Zr47Al6)99Sn1 (at. %) bulk metallic glasses (BMGs) was investigated through statistical analysis. The statistical analysis reveals that the (Cu47Zr47Al6)99Sn1 BMG has more stable self-organized critical (SOC) dynamics. The chemical heterogeneities formation in the microstructure has a triple effect on the deformation dynamics, which leads to high ductility for the (Cu47Zr47Al6)99Sn1 BMG.
