Abstract
Traditional forensic dental identification techniques rely on comparisons between the dental records of a missing person and the dental features of a deceased person. ͊When ante-mortem dental records are insufficient for comparison or are not available, photographic superimposition of images of the teeth of a deceased over those of an image of a missing person has been sometimes been used with successful outcomes. ͊We describe a modification of this process using 3-dimensional reconstructions of post-mortem CT data as a source of a post-mortem dental image.
